I have been having fun listing more stuff on eBay and have even made a little money. It’s not web design, but hey, it lets me buy a few gadgets here and there.
BTW…I just joined this cool eBay Affilliate Network called the eBay Partner Network and if you click any of my eBay links on the blog then eBay will pay me part of their fee they collect on the sale. It costs the buyer or the seller nothing at all.
I am back selling on eBay again.
I started going to these Meetup groups and at one I met this guy that was doing a lot of eBay and he urged me to go to his eBay Meetup group.
So I started listing a few things again for sale and last night went to the Meetup. It was huge. There were 100 people there and even someone I used to work with from my last job that I had not seen for a few years and had lost touch with. She was even sitting at my table.
They had gotten 6 people from eBay to come in for a Q & A session and it was really very cool. I met a number of different sellers and had a good time.
I will go again.
I have also been going to a number of different Meetup groups about marketing ideas for the internet as well. It seems to be a good way to network at the same time as learning from others. If you have never heard of Meetup groups, just visit www.meetup.com and there are tons of groups.
I just put up 5 eBay auctions tonight.
It has been a few years since I did any auctions on eBay. with school, getting married, finishing my web development degree and moving there just has not been any time.
But I was in Office Depot the other day and I found a new copy of a Mac only program I had used a few years back (I tried out the shareware program) called “Garage Sale“. It let’s you make templates out of your auctions and tracks them all, plus does all sorts of neat stuff I have not even discovered yet, all wrapped in a nice Mac like wrapper. They had it for about 1/2 the online price so I figured why not?
I like it. Now let’s just hope some people actually place bids on my camera stuff I have listed for auction!
