We are almost done with the renovations on the kitchen and the breakfast nook at our new house on Glen Cove in Richardson. The cabinets have been ordered and should be in soon, possibly this coming weekend.
We decided to tear out most everything and start from scratch. Those ugly corner cabinets in the breakfast nook just had to go!
The before and after images. The two in the thumbnail are the before and there are comparison side-by-side images when you see the larger image.
Well, we are finally getting some stuff done at the new house in Richardson.
We have found a plumber, electrician and a tile installer and they all are reliable, which is the important thing. The end is in sight for the construction of this bathroom.
We also have finished painting all the rooms in the back section of the house where the new carpeting will be installed. The carpet is in and we are scheduled for installation on July, 17th.
It’s nice to finally get some things moving along and we plan to move into the house within the next week or so!
Well, I have finally gotten the horrible permanent splinty thing off my arm. I went in today for my 1st physical therapy session and they sent me home with exercises and a nifty removable splint that is much, much easier to deal with.
There is still a lot of pain and the hand is very puffed up still, but I am seeing progress towards recovery. They told me it would be about another 4-6 weeks till I am back to normal.
Ruthie has been just wonderful and I can’t imagine how she keeps up with taking care of me and still doing everything else as well.
In other news…
Jon and Yoshi just got back from a short Florida visit where they went to see their father.
We close on the new house in Richardson on the 13th! Looking forward to getting in there and figuring out what we need to do to it before we move in.
Later.
