This site does not have one of those huge, long fuzzy site policies that tell you stuff that nobody in their right mind would ever want to read. What's the point?

I simply want to state my policy on advertising and affiliate recommendations in a brief manner.

Advertising

The ads you see displayed on this site will be ads that have something to do with my career path and goals. They will be companies I have either used, or companies my clients have used.

For examples, the ads sponsors I have started with...

Godaddy - Domains & Hosting - I just recently set up a new customer with hosting with Godaddy, so I have been inside their admin and actually talked to their customer service people on the phone.

FreshBooks - Online Invoicing - I subscribe to their paid level of service to control invoicing of my clients.

1&1 - Domains & Hosting - I have used this company for over 4 years for domain and web hosting and have had one one small service outage I knew about that was quickly resolved with a quik phone call.

Constant Contact - Email Marketing - When I was in Corporate America, my company had me set up an email campaign though their service. It was very easy to use and understand.

Website Magazine - I subscribe to this great magazine that caters to the web design crowd. It's a FREE SUBSCRIPTION and I even get a FREE mailed edition. Sign up for your copy.

Agile Solutions 1-Password - This is a password application for Mac owners. You only have to supply a single password to have access to all your passwords from any browser. It encrypts the passwords and even logs you in with the 1-click too. I have been using it for many months and love it.

Pepperjam Network - If you do any affliate marketing on the web, ya gotta check out the Pepperjam Network. It is a newer affiliate network than Commission Junction and they have lots of good advertisers on board. I have used them for about 5 months and they are great. Very responsive and easy to get on the phone or chat.

JourneyEd - They sell academic software at really nice discounts for students. I have purchased Adobe software from them while I was student and it was pretty neat because they are riht here in Dallas where I was able to drive over and get the software quickly.

When you hover over one of my ads, you will see aloneontheweb.com/recommends/product-name and this is an indication that it is a paid ad.

Affiliate Marketing

This could be the same as advertising because each of the above advertisers are actually affiliate programs that pay me a small payout when a site visitor clicks on one of my ads or links that have /recommends/ in the link.

There are other ways to do affiliate marketing as well and I will let visitors knows when they are about to click on a link that is an affiliate marketing link.

Other policies

If I use an image other than my own, I will leave intact the link back to the images owners.

I will not try and scam anyone with any product or something I might review. Who needs to deal with that?

I will try and answer most comments left on the site as quickly as I can if a response is needed. I hope this blog can become a community of like minded people in my industry.
